DUMBO Arts Festival (2011)

For three days – during the DUMBO Arts Festival 2011 (dumboartsfestival.com) – we took over a stretch of Main Street in DUMBO, by deploying multiple foto/pods* – along with tents, a giant camera obscura, nightly outdoor screenings, and all the fixings of a photographic shantytown.

Delivering a heady mixture of photography, equal parts obscure and established, local and international, here is the exhibition line-up (in strict alphabetical order):

Ayumi Tanaka | Follow the moon and silhouette
Georgios Makkas | North Epirus: An abandoned Land
La Fototeca Guatemala | Camera Obscura
Myrto Papadopoulos | Kale
Ulvi Tiit | Second Memory

In addition, foto/pods (2011) featured information booths from Conveyor Arts and the International Center of Photography.
And for those of you who may have missed our first-ever foto/pod deployment, here is a small selection of photos from the event.
